A valid question that a new CBD user often has is ‘how do you make your CBD oil?’ Each company has a different manufacturing process, but it is important that these processes are made as transparent as possible so a consumer knows what they’re getting.
CBD comes from hemp, which is a cannabis plant that has less than 0.3% THC. THC is the compound in cannabis that can get you high, while CBD doesn’t. Hempure uses a non-GMO, high cannabidiol cultivar, grown organically right here in the USA. Why is organically grown important? Because hemp happens to be a plant that sucks toxins out of the soil it grows in. Toxins in your hemp mean toxins in your CBD product.
At Hempure, the whole plant is used so that you get the benefits of CBD along with other cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids.
Hempure’s CBD is extracted in a 50,000 sq. ft. state of the art, cCGMP and cGPP certified facility in Colorado. We are FDA certificed, certified Halal and Kosher. By using supercritical CO2 extraction, CBD that is high in phytocannabinoids and terpenes is extracted while removing THC and chlorophyll. To be 100% sure that no THC is left in the product, a special chromatography technique is used to ensure removal, while keeping the other cannabinoids and terpenes intact.
Why go the extra mile to get rid of THC? Because CBD should be available to everyone: police, doctors, nurses and anyone else that requires regular drug testing as part of their profession.
It’s important that THC removal doesn’t impact the other plant compounds in Hempure’s CBD oil. People sometimes mistakenly assume that CBD isolate is the most effective way of taking CBD, and companies that make CBD isolate perpetuate this myth. Research, however, suggests that the body actually absorbs more CBD when it is taken in combination with other cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes from the hemp plant. This is commonly known as the entourage effect.
On-site chromatography testing and third-party lab testing ensures that levels of phytocannabinoids are as intended and there is no THC.
At Hempure, all products are bottled and formulated at a CGMP certified facility. The final CBD product is nano-emulsified in MCT oil. MCT oil (a derivative of coconut oil) allows CBD to get absorbed by your system faster, since the body treats it like a carbohydrate and metabolizes it immediately. Nano-emulsification means that each droplet of CBD oil is around 25 nanometers, much smaller than other emulsification methods, like liposomal CBD. The smaller the droplet, the easier it is for CBD to enter the bloodstream.
